Lotus Mudra

Lotus Mudra

Lotus mudra opens our heart to purity. It helps us to let go the feeling which we are holding in our hearts and opens it with new beginning and enlightens it. Do this mudra when you feel drained or misunderstood. It opens you to the divine force and receive whatever you need to start a beautiful day.

Place both hands in front of the chest area. Join your hands at the edge and let the fingers touch each other at the finger pads. This is the bud of the lotus flower. Now open your hands, but maintain the contact between the tips of the little finger and the outer edges of your thumbs. Spread the other fingers open and as wide as possible. Take four deep breathes. After four deep breathes, close both hands back into a bud. Place the fingernails of the fingers of both your hands on top of each other. Now join the backs of the fingers and the backs of the hands and let your hands hang down and relax for a while. In the same way, bring your hands back into the bud then form the open flower. Repeat the above steps a few times.

Affirmation: I open myself to nature, I open myself to the good that exists in every human being; I open myself to the Divine so that I will be richly blessed.

Dhyani Mudra

Dhyani mudra is a gesture of meditation and contemplation. The two hands formed into a bowl show that we are inwardly free, pure and empty in order to receive everything we need on our spiritual path.

Place both hands like bowls in your lap. The left hand lies in the right and the thumbs touch each other.

Affirmation : With gratitude I open myself to receive all that is truly mine.
